A Beautiful Long Pair of Vintage Filigree Earrings Composed of Antique Oaxaca Mexican Gold Gilt upon Silver, circa 1940. In general these intricate antique handmade earrings were made to be worn, not for the tourist trade thus are uncommon on the market today. This gorgeous pair is composed of antique gold gilt upon silver, as tested, and are all hand made fine filigree openwork and applied Etruscan style detailing. Each earring has a series of dangle drops that dangle and move when worn on the ear and I only find one that appears to have been omitted in the back during original construction. I have left the original patina on them as they came to me. These earring each measure about 2 3/4 inches long from very top to bottom by about 15/16 inch wide. They are in lovely vintage condition for this delicate work of this age. Made in Oaxaca Mexico circa 1940.
