A Rare Large Antique Art Nouveau Griffin Pin, Victorian Silver Silver. This wonderful piece is a wonderful example of Art Nouveau design, which was a movement that was popular circa 1890 to 1900's. The pin is made of sterling silver and is in the ornate form of a mythical griffin. The piece measures about 2 1/4 inches high by about 2 inches across. The pin back has been replaced over the years and it has a very tight safety on it so it will wear securely (most likely it replaced the old C clasp which are not as secure. This is a wonderful piece with a lovely smooth patina.
